PUTRAJAYA, April 25 — A total of 99 COVID-19 cases have recovered and were discharged today, bringing cumulative recovery cases in the country to 3,762, or 65.5 percent of the total number of cases.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said discharged cases today almost doubled the number of new cases reported overnight.
“Up to noon today (April 25), 51 new cases were reported, taking the country’s COVID-19 tally to 5,742 cases.
“The total number of COVID-19 infectivity cases stands at 1,882 cases. They have been isolated and given treatment,” he said at the daily COVID-19 media briefing here today.
However, Dr Noor Hisham said that two more COVID-19 related deaths were reported overnight, with the death toll now at 98 cases or 1.71 percent of the total number of cases.
