ARAU, May 18 – A moderate celebration was held at Istana Arau here last night to celebrate the Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail’s 77th birthday.
The palace, in a statement issued today, said the celebration was organised by the Raja Perempuan of Perlis, Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Almarhum Tengku Abdul Rashid.
It was attended only by the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, Raja Puan Muda Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil and their three children – Puteri Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah, Sharifah Farah Adriana andn Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Jamalullail.
It started with the breaking of fast, and then the Maghrib prayer, followed by the Isyak and terawih prayers.
The statement also stated that Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin thanked all quarters for their birthday wishes and prayers and prayed that they, too, would be blessed with happiness.
