PUTRAJAYA June 27: Malaysia recorded 14 Covid-19 recoveries, meaning the number of people still being treated for the virus has dropped below the 200 mark.
In a statement, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said only 187 people are now being treated.
Meanwhile, 10 new cases have been recorded, involving four imported cases and six local transmissions.
The new cases involve five foreigners and five locals. They bring the total number of infections recorded to date to 8,616.
There are no new deaths, meaning the death toll remains at 121.
Noor Hisham said two patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) but none of them require respiratory assistance.
With the latest recoveries, the total number of patients who have recovered and who been discharged stands at 8,304 (96.4%).
