PUTRAJAYA July 5 : Five new Covid-19 cases were reported by the health ministry today, bringing the total number of cases to 8,663, with 77 active cases.
Three of the new infections were imported cases while two were local transmissions.
In a statement, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said four patients had recovered, bringing the total number of patients discharged so far to 8,465, or 97.7% of total cases.
Two patients were currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with both of them requiring respiratory assistance.
No new Covid-19 related deaths were reported. The death toll remains at 121.
