Beijing July 5 — A total of eight new COVID-19 cases were reported on the Chinese mainland on Saturday, six from overseas and two of local transmissions in Beijing. On Sunday, the Chinese health authorities added that there were no new deaths.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 83,553, and the cumulative death toll at 4,634 with 99 asymptomatic patients under medical observation.
