PUTRAJAYA，July 8: No local Covid-19 infections were reported by the health ministry today, while three imported cases have brought the total number of cases to 8,677.
At a press conference today, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said five patients have recovered, bringing the total number of patients discharged so far to 8,486, or 97.8% of total cases.
This means that the number of active cases is currently 70.
Two patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with one of them requiring respiratory assistance.
No new Covid-19-related deaths were reported, with the death toll remaining at 121.
