Putrajaya August 22 : The health ministry has recorded eight new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were four recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 8,949, or 96.7% of the total infections.
In a tweet, Noor Hisham said the eight new cases bring the total number of cases recorded in the country to 9,257.
A total of 183 people are still being treated. Eight of them are in the intensive care unit, with four requiring respiratory assistance.
No new deaths have been recorded, with the toll remaining at 125, or 1.35% of the total number of positive cases.
