KOTA KINABALU, Sept 25 — Civil servants voting in the red zones, namely Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Kunak, due to the COVID-19 pandemic were instructed to undergo self-quarantine for 14 days after voting.
State Public Service Department director-general, Datuk (Datu) Rosmadi Datu Sulai said all heads of organisation should issue this directive to their staff.
“At the same time, they must also issue a written directive to their staff to work from home from Sept 27,” he said in a statement, here, tonight.

He said failure to comply with the SOPs and the rules and directive could subject them to disciplinary action in accordance with the Sabah State Public Officers Regulations 2008.
In the Sabah state election tomorrow, 1,088,711 out of 1,103,646 ordinary voters are eligible to vote involving 2,540 voting channels at 741 polling stations.
