Putrajaya, Oct 3 — MALAYSIA continued to see a daily record Covid-19 spike, with 317 cases in the past 24 hours, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
There was also a fatality reported, bringing the death toll to 137.
Today’s figures are a major increase from the 287 reported yesterday.
Noor Hisham said all the 317 new cases were local transmissions, and brings the total number of cases to 12,088.
There were also 121 recoveries, bringing the total to 10,216.
There are 1,735 active cases in the country.
A total of 29 patients are being treated in intensive care units, with four requiring breathing assistance. – October 3, 2020.
