PETALING JAYA，Oct 7: The health ministry reported 489 new Covid-19 cases in the country today.
Of the new cases, 282 were detected in Sabah.
The new infections bring the total number of cases to 13,993, while the death toll remains at 133.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 74 people were discharged, bringing the number of recoveries in the country to 10,501.
