PETALING JAYA，Jan 7: The health ministry has reported a record-high 3,027 Covid-19 cases and three deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,145 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 102,723.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 128,465.
There are 25,221 active cases with 142 patients being treated in intensive care and 63 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the eight deaths means the death toll is now 521.
