Kuala Lumpur Jan 17 — The health ministry has reported 3,339 Covid-19 cases and seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,676 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 120,051.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 158,434.
There are 37,782 active cases, with 240 patients receiving intensive care, of which 93 require respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the seven deaths bring the number of fatalities to 601.
