PUTRAJAYA，Jan 21: The health ministry has reported 3,170 cases and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,490 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 130,152.
In a press conference, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 172,549.
There are 41,755 active cases with 260 patients being treated in intensive care, of which 103 require respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 12 deaths bring the number of fatalities to 642.
