PETALING JAYA,Jan 21: The movement control order (MCO) affecting Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Johor, Kelantan and Sabah will be extended for another two weeks until Feb 4.
Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced at a press conference today that said most districts in the states were still red zones and the trend of daily cases were still on the rise.
He added some states were also reporting new clusters and community transmissions.
“Based on the risk analysis and advice from the health ministry, the National Security Council (MKN) today has agreed to extend the MCO in Penang, Selangor, Melaka, the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, Johor, Kelantan and Sabah.”
