PETALING JAYA，Mar 8: The health ministry has reported 1,529 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with Selangor recording the highest number of infections with 726 cases.
In a tweet, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Sarawak recorded the second highest number of infections with 252 cases.
Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 314, 989.
He said there were 2,076 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 294,034.
Meanwhile, the eight deaths take the number of fatalities to 1,177.
