KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 — The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) is offering Prihatin Arts Community Skills Course programme for creative industry practitioners. 

Finas’ industry affairs, welfare and industry data committee chairman Datuk Seri Eizlan Yusof in a statement today announced that the initiative is aimed at providing learning space and access at higher education level to creative industry practitioners.

“They can attend skill courses based on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) involving Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM), Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) and Intensive English Course.

“The courses will be conducted at Yayasan Felda College for the intake in April, July and October 2021,” he said.

He also said the programme is opened to creative industry practitioners and their children who met certain criteria including being a Malaysian aged between 16 and 30, not married and not having any criminal records.

Apart from that, Ezlan said Yayasan Felda is also offering Lifelong Learning Skills Programme which are short term courses for one day in areas such as culinary, pastry, food presentation, basic computer and sewing conducted by Yayasan Felda College teaching staff.

He said the application for the Prihatin Arts Community Skills Course programme is opened from today to March 28 2021 via its website, https://forms.gle/bDodvzTKY5X45FWs6.

“Successful applicants will be contacted by the secretariat for further screening,” he said.
