KUALA TERENGGANU, May 14 — Terengganu Menteri Besar and all its 10 executive councilors have decided to give one month of their salary to the #Aid4Palestine fund.
State Human Development, Dakwah and Information Committee chairman Mohd Nor Hamzah said state government backbenchers each donated RM3,000 while state government-linked companies also contributed a total of RM100,000 to the fund.
He also called on the people of Terengganu to continue to contribute to the fund as a show of solidarity with the Palestinians.
The “Sekretariat#Aid4Palestine”, a collaborative effort of more than 40 non-governmental organisations (NGOs), has been set up to mobilise a mission of taking proactive and immediate actions to help the Palestinian struggle against Zionist regime oppression.
It also has a role to coordinate the collection of #Aid4Palestine funds through crowdfunding, with a target of RM1 million to be channelled directly to Palestine.
