Kuala Lumpur , May 25 — The health ministry has reported 7,478 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
This is the 2nd time that daily cases have exceeded 7,000 since the pandemic began.
In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor recorded the highest number of infections with 2,455, followed by Kuala Lumpur at 760 and Sarawak at 640.
Perlis, which is the smallest state in Malaysia, recorded the least number of new cases with 8 new infections, followed by the Federal Territories of Putrajaya at 29 and Labuan at 49.
