KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — Takaful Ikhlas General Bhd (Takaful Ikhlas) has introduced the Bantuan IKHLAS Supreme Takaful, an additional insurance plan for individual takaful participants who subscribe to the IKHLAS Comprehensive Private Car Takaful and IKHLAS Private Car Comprehensive Plus Takaful.
President and chief executive officer Eddy Azly Abidin said the new takaful includes comprehensive additional benefits, including personal accident benefits, a vehicle assistance programme, and an inconvenience allowance with affordable contributions.
“Participants can choose to join the Silver, Gold, Platinum or Premium plan based on the participants’ needs and capacity to pay,” he said in a statement today.
According to Eddy, the new plan provides personal accident insurance coverage for drivers and passengers, including medical and hospital expenses.
“In the event of death or permanent disablement due to an accident, the claimant or beneficiary will receive personal accident benefits of up to RM100,000 and the compensation will be raised up to RM200,000 if the accident occurs during a Malaysian public holiday,” he said.
Eddy added that the Bantuan IKHLAS Supreme Takaful also comes with inconvenience allowance benefits such as Islamic credit card balance assistance, Islamic car financing instalment assistance and allowance for damage or loss of vehicle, among others.
Meanwhile, the plan also includes the IKHLAS Road Assist initiative which provides unlimited 24-hour towing services due to accidents and breakdowns, taxi expenses, hotel accommodation expenses, as well as 24-hour personal accident benefits worldwide.
