KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 — The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) will provide assistance to eight siblings who lost both their parents to COVID-19.
Its chairman Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan said he had also approved immediate financial allocation to the children, aged between four and 19.
“I have instructed PTPTN officers to provide appropriate assistance today. PTPTN Prihatin Squad will help immediately. The burden borne by these children is our shared responsibility.
“We will arrange for appropriate form of contribution, and I think for the sake of their future, it would be good if we open SSPN accounts for these children,” he said in a Facebook posting today.
Wan Saiful said he was told that the eldest of eight siblings was a polytechnic student.
