SEREMBAN, July 28 — The Negeri Sembilan government is allocating more than RM1.71 million to be given as one-off cash assistance, discount and rebate to help tourism industry players in the state who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said this at a a virtual media conference held after chairing the state executive council meeting today.
He said a RM2,000 one-off cash incentive would be given to 20 associations registered with the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Association, as well as operators of homestays in the state which were still active and registered with the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry.
Cash aid of RM250 will also be given to 91 tourist guides under the Negeri Sembilan Tourist Guide Association (NSTGA), he added.
Aminuddin said a 50 per cent discount or rebate on assessment rate would be given for hotel operators and also on their business licence fee.
