Kuala Lumpur, Aug 16 — The health ministry has reported 19,740 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 1,424,639.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 5,706.
This was followed by Sabah (1,728) and Kedah (1,592). While Perlis has 20 cases and Labuan recorded 2 cases today.
