PUTRAJAYA, Aug 19 — The rate of public sector online services or End-to-End (E2E) has reached 57.02 per cent and it is on track to achieve the target of 80 per cent online government services right from the beginning to the end, by 2025, said Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.
He said the E2E would provide added value, and enhance the delivery of government services to customers.
“It is easy, fast, reliable and there is no time limit”, he said when launching the Public Sector Digital Conference 2021 and the Public Sector Digitilisation Strategic Plan (PSPSA) 2021-2025 virtually today.
Mohd Zuki emphasised the F.A.S.T.E.R (flatter, agile, streamlined, tech-enabled, efficient and resilient) principle as a guide to the civil servants to always be adaptive and sensitive to the current needs, especially the digital technology developments.
He said the tech-enabled element contained in the F.A.S.T.E.R principle was in line with digital challenges such as the emerging Data Analytics and Industrial Revolution 4.0.
Mohd Zuki said according to Science Direct Research Policy magazine, emerging technologies are defined by five attributes namely radical novelty, fast growth, coherence, prominent impact, and uncertainty or ambiguity.
“What’s important is that these emerging technologies will change the status quo, and we (civil servants) need to take advantage of these technologies so that we will not be left behind,” he said.
He said the government had also set a new agenda, namely to improve the efficiency of service delivery based on data analytics by optimising the use and sharing of data through the creation of people-centered data products.
“Data analytics is a process of analysing raw data to identify trends from a large set of data that can help the government make wise and accurate decisions,” he said.
Mohd Zuki also urged civil servants to face current scenarios, challenges and global trends by changing the way services are delivered to ensure that public services continue to be trusted and respected by the people.
