KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — Individuals eligible to receive the COVID-19 booster shot are advised to register on the waiting list at only one private health facility vaccination centre (PPV) to avoid confusion.
ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn. Bhd (ProtectHealth), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ProtectHealth Malaysia, established under the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), said registration for the waiting list at the PPVs of private health facilities under ProtectHealth is free and only the Corminaty vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech) will be dispensed at these centres.
“Apart from walk-in, registration of names in the waiting list at these PPV can also be done by phone and email according to the PPV list which is available on the ProtectHealth website at the link www.protecthealth.com.my, starting this Monday (Nov 22). The PPV list will be updated from time to time.
“This approach will facilitate and encourage eligible individuals to receive the booster shot earlier without having to wait long, apart from helping the government ensure the vaccines are not wasted and can be used optimally,” said ProtectHealth in a statement today.
Individuals who have successfully registered will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted by the facility concerned if they are cancellation or no show by those who were given appointment for the vaccination through MySejahtera.
The registration for the waiting list is for individuals who have not received an appointment and are eligible for a booster shot, including frontline staff, individuals aged 40 and above, individuals aged 18 and above with comorbidities who need to travel abroad.
Apart from that, those who have not received the first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, including adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, as well as those who missed their appointments, are also eligible to sign up for this waiting list.
