KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18– Syarikat Mengurus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd (SMART) tunnel is closed to users for the activation of the flood system following heavy rains since Friday (Dec 17).
SMART via a post on Twitter announced that the closure was implemented after receiving instructions from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), at 6.47 pm, today.
“SMART requests that users be patient and give their cooperation and attention to the announcement of the operation status of the SMART Highway Tunnel which will be notified through media and electronic information boards (VMS),” it said.
The status of the SMART Highway Tunnel can be followed through the SMART website at www.smarttunnel.com.my, twitter@smarttunnel or ‘Smart Tunnel’ on Facebook, according to the company.
