KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 — PR1MA Corporation Malaysia (PR1MA) will give priority to flood possibility studies at each of its housing project development sites in the future.
Its chairman Datuk Dr Fathul Bari Mat Jahya said this was important especially after seeing about 30,000 houses affected in the floods that hit several states recently.
“We are thankful that PR1MA housing was not affected by the floods, but in the future, one of the things we need to give priority is the strategic study on the floods.
“This is important to ensure the probability of floods in PR1MA projects is remote,” he said while discussing the topic ‘Home Ownership After Post-Movement Control Order (PKP) in ‘Selamat Pagi Malaysia’ programme broadcast on RTM1 today.
Apart from that, Fathul Bari said his party was also refining several other aspects, including holding a live monitoring system at a project site to give buyers more confidence in the contractor’s ability to complete the project according to schedule.
“We will also provide more attractive offers in terms of facilities such as a gymnasium, clubhouse, nursery and mortuary in the PR1MA project, besides working with the Malaysian Youth Council to discuss the need to create housing for young people,” he said.
