KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 — Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has described the idealism and principles of the party’s struggle as his identity.
The Senior Minister and Minister of International Trade and Industry said that in a statement today, in which he also expressed thanks to party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for the latter’s confidence in Mohamed Azmin’s commitment with Bersatu as a political platform to continue fighting for the people.
“The idealism of Bersatu’s struggle, which includes the norms of life as well as caring policies that uplift the human dignity has succeeded in generating prosperity for the wellbeing of the people.
“We will continue to work together with all members of Bersatu to develop a government that is clean, transparent, with integrity and committed to upholding the principles of good governance and to fight for social justice for the common prosperity of all the people,” he said.
On Tuesday, Muhyiddin clarified that the rumours of several Bersatu members, including Mohamed Azmin and Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon would quit the party, as baseless.
