KOTA BHARU, Aug 12 — The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) will mobilise 1,860 Keluarga Malaysia communities in conjunction with the National Day on Aug 31.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said they have appointed the committee chairman for the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, which also involve programmes at the state level.
“We encourage all communities to celebrate throughout the month of August… no need to wait until Aug 31. So, I believe this effort will be held in stages, including providing assistance to nearly 150 parliamentary constituencies.
“The provision of this assistance through the allocation of about RM10,000 is based on the applications made by the relevant Members of Parliament,” he told reporters when met at Kok Lanas here today.
Annuar, who is also the Ketereh MP, believes the National Day this year will be celebrated in a more joyous manner compared to previous years.
