KOTA KINABALU, Sept 10 — The Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat – Sabah Maju Jaya (ANMS-SMJ) tour involving a smart partnership between the Health Ministry (MOH) and the Sabah government is timely in promoting the health of the people in the state.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said ANMS is a health welfare package introduced by the government aimed at cultivating a healthy lifestyle and preserving the environment to support the well-being of Keluarga Malaysia (the Malaysian Family).
“The concept of ANMS-SMJ concept is timely. We need the people of Sabah to be healthy both physically and mentally to develop sectors like agricultural, industrial and tourism,” he said in his speech at the launch of the state-level ANMS-SMJ tour today.
Hajiji said Sabah’s development plans and its Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya vision will require its civil servants and private sector workers to be in good health condition.
“I also urge Sabahans to undergo health screenings, especially those aged 40 and above. This is important for our health,” he stressed.
