NEW DELHI, Oct 25 — Kraftangan Malaysia plans to hold a fashion show in Dubai to tap the Arab region’s key market for lifestyle goods.
“We are preparing our collection for Dubai. We will announce the show’s date soon,” Kraftangan Malaysia director-general Ainu Sham Ramli told Bernama in New Delhi.
Ainu Sham hopes the event will raise awareness about Malaysian textiles, home decorations and lifestyle products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the wider Gulf region.
“The UAE has a large consumer base for fashion goods. We see demand for Malaysian lifestyle goods from its travel and tourism sector,” she said.
Ainu Sham said Malaysia has many branded lifestyle items and crafts that will appeal to the UAE market.
“After Dubai, we want to explore neighbouring countries,” she added.
