KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — There were several upsets after the results of the 15th general election were announced tonight when a number of big names were among those defeated.
As at 11.45 pm, among those who lost were UMNO veteran Tan Sri Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah in Gua Musang, UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid in Padang Terap and Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz in Kuala Selangor representing Barisan Nasional (BN).
Pakatan Harapan is currently leading the race with 24 parliamentary seats won, followed by Perikatan Nasional (22), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (19), BN (13), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (four), Warisan and Parti Bangsa Malaysia, with one seat each.
