KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah graced the Badan Amal Kasih Sayang (BAKASA) charity night and the Malaysian Armed Forces Family Welfare Association (MAF BAKAT) Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) 2022 at Dewan Perkasa Wisma Perwira, tonight.
Upon arrival, the Queen was greeted by MAF BAKAT Supreme Council chairman Tengku Puteri Seri Teja Pahang Tengku Muhaini Sultan Ahmad Shah who is also the wife of Defence Force Chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang.
Tunku Azizah then agreed to participate in a photo session with the royal guests including Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin and Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The fashion designers involved in the show were IFF founder Datuk Seri Raja Rezza Shah, Rizman Ruzaini, Calvin Thoo, Nurita Harith, Rozita Che Wan as well as designers from Indonesia, Jeny Tjahyawati and Ghea Panggabean.
After the photo session, Tunku Azizah then proceeded to visit stalls promoting small and medium industry products made by BAKAT members, most of whom are the wives of ATM personnel.
BAKASA Charity Night and BAKAT IFF 2022 which is based on the initiative of BAKASA’s Royal Advisor Tengku Muhaini, has successfully raised RM1.2 million to be donated to BAKASA charity organisations, namely Rumah Kanak-Kanak Tengku Ampuan Afzan and Centre of Innovation Tengku Ampuan Afzan as well as to fund transformation programmes under MAF BAKAT.
