KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a visit from Prof Dr Syeikh Jamal Farouk Jibreel of Al-Azhar University, Egypt at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
Through a post on his official Facebook, Anwar said the meeting was also attended by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Na’im Mokhtar.
He said they managed to discuss Islamic higher education, particularly the strengthening of Malaysia’s relationship with Al-Azhar University, which currently accommodates 6,204 Malaysian students.
In line with Jamal Farouk’s lecture entitled ‘The Role of Morals in Nation Building’ which he gave during the visit, Anwar emphasised that it is the mission of his administration to embody moral values in administering the nation.
