PUTRAJAYA, March 21 — All Islamic religious agencies nationwide need to be more creative in organising religious activities to attract more Muslim participation during the month of Ramadan, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.

He said that such efforts can not only inspire Muslims to double their practices but also strengthen the brotherhood of Malaysia MADANI society.

“We hope these agencies can hold more creative programmes.

“Put all your energy, time and money to the best of your ability, we will get the reward promised by Allah SWT in the afterlife,” he told reporters after launching the national-level ‘Ihya’ Ramadan’ programme 2023/1444H, here, tonight.

Mohd Na’im said programmes and activities throughout the month of Ramadan can also produce people who are balanced spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.

He hopes that all the programmes that have been planned will boost the enthusiasm among Muslims to double their practices throughout the month of Ramadan.

“This month of Ramadan is not only about abstaining from eating and drinking, but Muslims need to see it as a month for them to take advantage of and engage in more good deeds,” he said.
