SEREMBAN, May 10 — Discussions on the distribution of seats for the state election involving the component parties under the Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) are now in the final stage, says state PH chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

He said the outcome of the discussions would be handed over to the coalition’s Presidential Council.

The PKR vice president told this to reporters after chairing the state executive council meeting at Wisma Negeri here today.

Asked about the distribution of seats between PH and Barisan Nasional (BN), Aminuddin who is also state PKR chairman and Menteri Besar said that would depend on discussions at the central level which would involve all six states that are preparing for state elections.

Besides Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu are also gearing up for their state polls.

The mandate for the Negeri Sembilan government will end next month.

In the 14th General Election, PH won 20 seats out of 36 state seats while BN secured the rest.

When asked about his candidacy, the Sikamat assemblyman said he was still uncertain about the matter, adding if God wills, he will contest in the upcoming state polls.
