KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II at Beit Al Urdun, Amman, Jordan today.

According to Istana Negara’s Facebook page, His Majesty arrived at Beit Al Urdun at 1.30 pm local time (6.30 pm Malaysia time), accompanied by his son Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah and Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan Mohamad Nasri Abd Rahman.

“At the meeting, the two heads of state touched on efforts to strengthen and improve cooperation between Malaysia and Jordan for mutual benefit,” read the post.

Al-Sultan Abdullah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are in Amman, Jordan on a four-day special visit beginning May 30, at the invitation of King Abdullah II.

According to Istana Negara, the King and Queen are accompanied by their children – Tengku Muhammad Iskandar, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah and Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah.

Their Majesties are scheduled to attend the Royal Wedding of the Crown Prince of Jordan at Zahran Palace followed by a Royal Wedding Banquet at Al Husseinieh Palace in Amman tomorrow (June 1), before returning home the next day.
