NIBONG TEBAL, June 19 — Wanita Pakatan Harapan (PH) is aiming for its candidates to contest 30 per cent of the seats in the upcoming elections in six states.
Wanita PH deputy head Fadhlina Sidek, who is also Wanita PKR head, said, however, that the matter was left to the coalition’s leadership to decide.
“Since the beginning of this month, we (Wanita PH) have been mobilised with a series of election training to ensure that our machinery is equipped with various information and be ready for the state polls.
“The launch of the election machinery and Pentas Wanita series of public ceramah (rallies) will be carried out during the campaign period,” she said when contacted by Bernama today.
Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Selangor will be holding their state elections soon.
Fadhlina, who is also Minister of Education, said Wanita PH will also cooperate with Wanita Barisan Nasional (BN) in campaigning in the state polls to ensure the integrity of the Unity Government.
