China Coast Guard (CCG) tracked and “fully monitored” a U.S. Coast Guard vessel’s transit through the Taiwan Straits on Wednesday, Gan Yu, spokesperson for the CCG, said in a statement on Thursday.
“China Coast Guard will resolutely protect China’s national sovereignty, security and maritime rights and interests,” said Gan.
