CYBERJAYA, Jan 24 – Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) is offering scholarships, worth RM20 million, to Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and their family members, to pursue degrees, diplomas or higher education certification at the university.
LUCT group chief brand officer Datuk Tiffanee Marie Lim said that the scholarships are open for eligible students, PwD teachers and caregivers, as well as students from the B40 group.
“This fund is dedicated to people who deserve an international education, but might not find it accessible,” she told reporters after the ‘OKU Education Open Day Agenda’ at LUCT, today.
Also present was OKU Sentral president Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi.
Meanwhile, Ras Adiba said that OKU Sentral would assist PwDs or their family members, interested in applying for the scholarship.
“The scholarship opportunities are also open for PwDs’ family members, B40s and caregivers of PwDs… we don’t sideline them as they may also wish to continue their studies. Those interested can contact OKU Sentral,” she said.
