IPOH, March 21 – A clouded leopard was found dead yesterday, believed to have been hit by a vehicle at Km 253.3 of the West Coast Expressway (WCE) near Beruas.
Perak Wildlife Protection and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director Yusoff Shariff, who confirmed the matter said the carcass of the animal was retrieved yesterday evening following a complaint from WCE auxiliary police.
“The carcass was already bloated and rotting when we found it. We believe it was hit by a vehicle two days earlier based on its condition,” he said.
