KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed hope that Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) remains a catalyst for change and continues to uphold quality and fact.
In a brief Facebook post celebrating RTM’s 78th anniversary, he also said that the country’s oldest broadcaster would remain the voice of the people.
“Happy 78th anniversary to RTM,” he posted.
RTM was set up on April 1, 1946, with a radio station while television broadcasts were introduced on Dec 28, 1963.
RTM currently manages six television stations and 34 radio channels throughout the country.
