KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 – Malaysia Youth All Girls cheerleading team achieved a remarkable feat at the International Cheer Union World Junior Cheerleading Championships (ICU JWCC) 2024 after securing third place in the Youth All-Girl Median division against formidable opponents from around the world, on Thursday.
The championship held in Florida, United States (USA) witnessed Canada emerge champions while Mexico came second.
The Cheerleading Association & Register of Malaysia (CHARM) in a statement said the achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent of the young athletes, aged 12 – 14 years old as their perseverance and commitment to excellence have not only brought pride to the nation but also showcased the immense potential of Malaysian youth on the global stage.
“We would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Minister Hannah Yeoh, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education and all the team’s sponsors for their unwavering support throughout the team’s journey,” the statement said.
