BANGKOK, April 30 – The Asia-Pacific digital economy is in a golden age, with countries and regions actively exploring intelligence while promoting digital development, Huawei said.
Huawei deputy chairwoman of the board and chief financial officer Sabrina Meng said the Asia-Pacific region is not only one of the world’s most vibrant regions but also serves as a role model for others striving to go digital and boost their digital economies.
“Huawei has been honoured to be part of this process. It has been great to work with such wonderful customers and partners who are driving the region’s digital transformation.
“We want to do our part to bring the benefits of digital and intelligent technologies to people in the Asia-Pacific and promote the integrated development of the digital and real economies,” she said in her opening speech delivered via video at the Huawei Digital and Intelligent APAC Congress 2024.
This joint congress by Huawei and the ASEAN Foundation, held in Bangkok on April 29-30, 2024, drew over 2,000 attendees, including government officials, scholars, partners, and analysts from 15 Asia-Pacific countries and regions.
Discussions centred on deploying cutting-edge digital infrastructure to advance a digital, intelligent Asia-Pacific.
Throughout the two-day congress, Huawei will host four conferences: the Huawei Network Summit, Innovative Data Infrastructure Forum, Global Optical Summit, and Huawei Cloud Stack Summit.
