JAKARTA, June 28 (Bernama) — Indonesian band Fourtwnty is scheduled to hold a concert in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 9. Having performed in Malaysia three times previously, its fourth concert – MyAcasa – will take place at Megastar Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by Indonesia’s Nusantaiment in collaboration with Malaysia’s Omni Mediaworks Sdn Bhd, the show is seen as Fourtwnty’s perfect gift to its fans in Malaysia who can expect a special concert experience.
Speaking at a press conference here to announce their upcoming MYACASA: Fourtwnty Live in KL event, Fourtwnty vocalist Ari Lesmana said he hoped it would ease the “longing of our fans in Malaysia”, describing their concert as a “reunion after a long separation”.
He said the concert’s theme MyAcasà is a combination of ‘My’, a symbolic representation of Malaysia, and ‘Acasa’ which means ‘home’ in the Romanian language.
“It reflects the values of family and the harmony between Fourtwnty and our fans in Malaysia. ‘Myacasà’ symbolises togetherness, family warmth and the feeling of coming home. We will enjoy this concert in a family-like atmosphere, surrounded by friends, family and loved ones.
“This (upcoming) concert will be very different; many will cry, many will laugh, many will hug and hopefully, Fourtwnty will continue to be accepted by our fans in Malaysia,” said Ari.
Nusantaiment founder Syai Nick said the concert also reflected the close relationship both countries have enjoyed over the years, adding he is confident the band can deliver a sincere and impactful performance for its fans.
“With the theme ‘MyAcasà’, Nusantaiment also wants to emphasise that Malaysia is a ‘second home’ for Fourtwnty. This has significant meaning for the band and its Malaysian fans as it symbolises the special relationship they have,” he said, adding the concert will also see Fourtwnty sharing the stage with Charita Utami for the first time in Kuala Lumpur for the rendition of the song ‘Mangu’.
Malaysian singer Zee Avi, known for her song ‘Kantoi’, is also set to perform at the concert.
