PETALING JAYA, July 22 – Haier Electrical Appliances (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd anticipates a 40 per cent increase in sales in the second half of 2024 (2H 2024) and at least a 30 per cent sales growth in 2025. 

Its managing director, Fan Jing, said the target was due to Haier Malaysia’s positive sales performance of 43 per cent year-on-year growth in 1H 2024.

“We target an increase of 15 per cent in the freezer category in 2H 2024. As for this (refrigerator) category, we have already become the number one brand in Malaysia,” he said after launching the new Haier 2024 COOLING product lineup on Monday. 

Fan said the company aims to achieve a 16 per cent market share in the multi-door refrigerator market and become one of the top three brands in Malaysia by the end of the year. 

“For next year, we would like to be number one in terms of market share for the multi-door refrigerator category,” he said.

For the new Haier 2024 COOLING product lineup, the company has introduced 12 models, including seven new variants for the refrigerator category and five new variants under the freezer category, including two models of wine cellars. 

“We target to sell 1,000 units per month for the multi-door refrigerators. We did not have a high expectation for the freezer category because the wine cellars were just launched today,” he said.
