KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 – The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) will present its Budget 2025 proposals formally to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) on Aug 12.

Its Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said that on Aug 5 and 6, MITI will hold stakeholders’ meetings to gather industry players’ wishlists.

“MITI has some suggestions but as I emphasised, it needs to involve other stakeholders, especially the industry and chambers of commerce.

“We wanted to hear their views and their budget ideas as directed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to ensure there is an engagement session with all stakeholders,” he told Bernama after the Economic & Public Finance Conference organised by the National Institute of Public Administration.

Budget 2025 will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Oct 18, 2024.
