ANKARA, Aug 15 – Turkiye plans to implement a project that mandates taking fingerprints of all people entering the country, Turkish newspaper Sabah reported on Wednesday, citing Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, according to Sputnik.
Yerlikaya announced that Turkiye plans to take fingerprints from the incomers, in the same way the United States and the United Kingdom do.
The identity cards of those who have received temporary protection status, especially Syrian nationals, will have chips installed, the minister said.
Such identity cards cannot be forged, Yerlikaya added.
