MOSCOW, Aug 26 – Telegram founder Pavel Durov had his detention in France extended on Sunday evening, Sputnik reported according to French media reports citing sources close to the investigation.
The extension of Durov’s detention was decided by the investigating judge, with the initial period for questioning in France potentially lasting up to 96 hours.
Once this period concludes, the judge may choose to release Durov or decide to bring charges and keep him in custody.
Durov was reportedly detained at Le Bourget Airport on Saturday evening.
