BEIJING, Oct 2 – Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory message to Shigeru Ishiba, who was elected Japan’s new prime minister by parliament Tuesday, Kyodo News Agency reported citing state-run media reports on Wednesday.
When Ishiba last Friday won the ruling Liberal Democratic Party’s presidential election, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman told reporters that China hopes for stable ties with Japan.
