He also expressed confidence that agricultural technology can boost production output and farm management efficiency.
A statement from Istana Arau said the Raja Muda of Perlis led over 100 Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) staff and agency personnel in the Jelajah Agrofest 2026 programme in Bintong, organised by the state Agriculture Department in conjunction with Perlis Agrofest 2026.
The three-day event in Sungai Batu Pahat, which began last Friday, was officially opened by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
The statement added that he also presented fish fry to three selected asnaf to help boost their income.
He later witnessed the handover of a cheque for RM376,000 from Perlis Agriculture director Hafizuddin Othman to the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) via the MAIPs Asnaf Transformation Academy, for a modern fertigation project involving ten selected asnaf.
